STI seat install w/ brackets

to avoid airbag light after install – —**************

Two – 3 to 5 ohm resistors should work

Bend each one into a U shape and jam it into the end of the airbag plug under the seat.

The light will come on when you start the car then go off after a few seconds once it sees the correct resistance.

Cost – $0.25.

I bought my 2010 Mustang GT a few months ago and from day one, I’ve had this problem. Passenger Airbag Off light always comes on when passenger present. I’ve been to the dealer about about 5 times and Ford dealerships can’t fix it. Ford Customer Reps have decided that it is normally operating as per design and that’s it. I want this issue fixed or a refund!

I have a 1995 Buick Riviera Supercharged and it has been flashing the Air Bag light while it is on. Is this bad? How can i find out what is wrong with my car? Thanks in advance.

The only time a Riviera will flash the Air Bag light is when it does its diagnostic self-test during startup. It will flash seven times and go out. If there is a fault in the airbag system, the computer will flag a code and command the airbag light to come on steady and remain on until the code is cleared. Although on some of the older GM stuff you could jumper the diagnostic scantool port for certain programming tasks like remote keyless entry, I do not believe that is the case with the airbag system. You’re going to have to take it in and have it diagnosed in order to fix it right.
