what can i do to fix the problem, can u reset something to make the light go out ? is it ok to drive the truck like this?

The airbag light is on because there is some sort of problem with the airbag system. When a sensor reads out of allowable range, the computer turns the airbag warning light on. The airbags are disabled when the light is on, because a bad sensor could cause airbag deployment when it is not needed.

A computer scan will tell you where the problem is. It could be a faulty sensor, or it could be a bad clock spring assembly in the steering column that is not making good contact with the driver’s air bag

My bet would be the clock spring.

Just a wax job done on my car. Paste wax is better as you can see but its more work as well. Spray on wax is good and kills time but its not as good as paste. Paste does a better job protecting it against water or rain.

i took my car for a inspection and it failed because the highway patrol officer said the airbag were disconnected.he says the srs light is supposed to turn on and then turn off when the car is started. but in my case the srs light doesnt come on. the car was in an acccient but the airbags didnt deploy. i have to take my car again for another inspection on the 27th. any ideas on how to fix?

When your SRS light stays on it means none of your safety features will activate if you were to have a collision. Example: Seat belts won’t tighten, Airbags wont deploy, etc.

You should definitely take this serious. I would suggest taking it to a local repair shop to get them to diagnose the problem. Most shops will diagnose and fix for about $80. Before you do that, check your battery cables, make sure their clean and tight. Low voltage sometimes causes the SRS light to stay on. Also, I would locate and check your airbag fuse to make sure its not blown.

Just a lil video of my car with 152,000 miles on it. This was before my converters were cut off. But On this video everything was pretty much stock except the Drop in airfilter. This attempt was when I was getting on the freeway. Sorry for the bad quality of the video

the bass was only cut up 4 notches if i cut it up all the way my neighbors would have a problem wit me,plus ill blow a fuse

cold start up and Rev of my ride.The Converters had been cut off and now Im runnin a str8 pipe. No converters make a big difference. The quality of the video may be a lil bad because this was recorded off my cell phone.

Do you have this issue?

Our 2009 Nissan Altima keeps having this airbag issue. The light will come on randomly while driving with or without a person in the seat. Nissan is telling us there is nothing wrong with our new car.

My wife constantly puts her purse on the seat. This is the only time that light has come on. Her purse isn’t usually heavy. (sunglasses, a small hand size pocket novel and her wallet (no large ammount of coins, not even enough for a coffee at Tim Hortons). The rest of the time with her purse or my backup, the light does not come on. Just this once.

Things the Nissan has done to date:
- been very friendly
- been very accommodating
- computer scans
- replaced airbag system computer
- replaced airbag system seat array
- replaced entire bottom seat

Things that Nissan has blamed this on:
- improperly seated person (person is seated correctly)
- underweight person (All persons have been over 140 lbs)
- cell phones / electronics (it does it with or without these in the car)
- heated seat cousin (flexible type, we had this issue before buying these, still happens with them off)
- passenger shifting their weight (such as leaning forward for a purse, happens regardless. we have even tried to get it to turn off by sitting improperly and it doesn’t turn off like it should)

Google around, this appears to be an issue with these cars. Very concerning. I would return the car if I could.

This is a video of my instrument cluster og my 1995 escort. The airbag light flashes 5 times then pause then flashes then once then 5 times again. Its a code its flashing but not sure what the code can be. If anyone has any ideas on how to reset it, please feel free to commit on this video.
