i have a 1998 honda prelude type sh..my srs light is on i dont think it has an airbag..but i need an inspection asap and the light is on ..is there anything i can do to pass inspection without them seeing that my srs light is on ..example: can i take the bulb out of srs that way it does not show to pass…and i also need to know if srs codes with show up on obd2??? if they do not show on obd2 then im pretty sure that i can take the bulb out and pass ..but i need someone help to know for sure or anything else…i slao already tryed reseting the srs and it comes back on because theres codes in the srs system .so some1 please help me out please…thank you

Verify that your model does not have an airbag, then point it out to the inspector (if you haven’t fixed the problem by inspection time). Hop onto a Honda specific forum and see if anyone else had this problem and how to rectify it. They will be able to give you technical information and step by step instructions for your specific model.

We recently replaced the airbag in our Legend. We just need to know how to reset the SRS light. Thanks for your help.

Did you replace the corresponding crash sensor also? You will not be able to get the light out until you replace the sensor!

I accidentally took out the (SRS) air bag fuse and then I putted it back on and now the sign is on and wont go away so what should I do. It is 1996 Toyota Camry 2.2L LE.I have a state inspection this Saturday

disconnect the battery pos and neg cable and touch them together off of the batter for about 30 seconds this will cause all the modules to sleep and reset, if the light comes back on u have a problem with the sir system

The airbag light stays on when I start the car, is there anyway to get the light turned off. I still have a driver side airbag, so if I tamper with the light for the passenger side, will it affect my drivers side airbag. thank you

YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG THAT DEPLOYED ,THE CRASH SENSOR,AND POSSIBLY THE MODULE,BY NO MEANS DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE AIR BAG YOU COULD BE SERIOUSLY HURT!!!!LEAVE IT FOR THE PROFESIONALS,YOU CAN STILL DRIVE IT WITH THE LIGHT ON IT JUST MEANS THE SISTEM IS DEACTIVATED UNTIL REPAIRS ARE PERFORMED.

I bought this VAG scanner on Ebay for $30. Remember.. let the scanner read the codes and then find out if there is something wrong with your Airbag system. Also, keep in mind that anytime the airbag light is lit, the system is disabled.
