Air bag light flashing – what does it mean?

Replacement Airbags For your Vehicle

I recently bought a 2004 proton waja and the airbag light on the dash keeps flashing. does this mean there is a problem with the airbag or could it be anything else?

When your air bag light is on or flashing, this means the system has been activated, and if you just bought the it this way, the vehicle has been in a accident of some type, and the system has been fired (diploid). There is a scan that needs to be done on it to read the codes, and this will tell you what is needed to be fixed. Take the vehicle to the dealer or a body shop that works on airbag systems. After the activated parts have been replaced, then the system can be reset, and the light will be off.

It could be a bad sensor, or it could indicate a problem with the inflation system, time to go to the dealer and have it checked out before it inflates.

it may just mean that the air bag is not activated. Does it go out if someone sits in the passenger seat? But if i were you, have the system checked.

    good luck….

You need to see the dealer so they can put the computer on it and see what codes come from the airbag system. You can’t try to fix it yourself or pull it apart as you may set it off which will cause injury. That is the only way you can get ot sorted out. It may have a bad connection or failed component. It is OK to drive but do get the dealer to see to it ASAP
