I have a Mercedes E class (W211) 2003 reg. I have had a fault diagnosed. It’s the front passenger seat sensor pad which is causing the SRS light to come on. I have been told to solder a 3.9 ohm 1/4 watt resistor somewhere on the pad connector but I don’t know where. Can anyone help?

Check first that the airbag has not been accidentally switched off. As with many front seat passenger airbags, there is a switch to disarm it if you are using a rearward facing child seat. If memory serves me correctly, it may be in the glove box.

My BMW 316i SE 2001 had an intermitant starting problem. Sometimes it would start ok, other times it would try to turn over but not start, then show up SRS orange light error and turn the hand brake warning light orange.

A new forward/intake Cam Sensor was required.

A garage wanted to charge me £150. I researched it and found it was a 3 minute job, so did it myself.

I hit something with the tire of my 2008 Civic…I heard a loud bang and smelled sulfur and saw smoke. Now the Airbag light is on and the seat belts do not work.

What happened? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I recently got 2002 honda accord. The night i brought it home, the SRS light went on and has been on ever since. The side airbag light will turn off and on randomly, especially if I’m making turns. I heard there was a recall for the SRS fuse thing so how do I go about fixing that? And I don’t know anything about the side airbag light. I really hope I don’t get into an accident and die because my car isn’t safe.

You need to call the honda dealer with the vin number & see if your car fall-es under any recalls for the srs and side air bags & if it does have them fix it as soon as you can , repairs on srs lights are expensive to repair .

have a honda accord 2004 (56,000miles) and srs airbag light remains on sometime and next time when i start if may be off, want to know how can i get the same fixed or what could be the problem and how can i over come with it, have a inspection in the next couple of months (NJ).
Any responses on this, which can help me out would be of a great help.

Take it to the Honda dealership. If it is a seatbelt sensor they will change it for free (lifetime seatbelt warranty). Other issues might cost you a good bit though, but at least have them troubleshoot it for you.

I’m replacing the airbag myself. If the SRS light don’t go out will my new airbag still work?

If the light goes off then you are ready to go.

If it does not … then don’t expect it to work.

In that case have the impact sensors (accelerometers) checked to make sure they are still OK.
