and ready to go. Or is it suppose to turn on and off like the engine light. If it’s suppose to work like engine light–can some one tell me what maybe the problem. If I can check myself–I’ll do it before sending it to the mechanic.

Things that can cause the SRS light to turn on include:

* Letting battery drain too low
* Bad Sensor
* Blown fuse
* Unplugging the car’s battery
* Removing the gauge cluster/installing aftermarket gauges
* G-Force sensors that are under each of the front fenders ($250.00 each)
* Bad clockspring (located inside your steering wheel)
* Bad ECU
* Bad reverse light switch on transmission
* Car was in an accident
* Airbag defective/unplugged
there you go as you ASKED "can someone tell me what maybe the problem" oh and yes, it isnt working and you probably shouldnt try to fix yourself except for fuse, i thought it was common sense

    i have read your answers for the question asked…they are good but the one thing not answered is…… when your srs light or(supplemental restraint system) is on…. your air bag system is inop…….no matter whats wrong besides a fuse it will cost some money to repair it…this system ,other than the fuse is to complicated for a regular guy with no tools and no diagnostic experience in this type of system. to repair himself…….if you accidentally power up the wrong part of this system while testing your airbags will deploy…then it will really get expensive….so if its not the simple fix …let the professional do the diagnostics
