Hello Guys,
Please help me to find out whats wrong with it. always when i start in the morning i can see my car is showing this. but after getting the engine temperature hot just restart the car again then it works properly, recently i had Following services
1. crankshaft sensor changed (because i had starting problem now its fixed)
2. Engine oil + filter
3. Transmission oil + Filter
4. One of the Camshaft changed (because the workshop guy told me error code is related to this sensor)
5. New Battery
Even ASC, DSC & ABS WARNING LIGHT ARE SHOWING ALWAYS. please see the video..thanks

Hi guys please see the problem of cold start, and look at the Battery voltage is showing Very high (17.3v) even see the transmission warning is appeared also dash bord warning lights are blinking when i start first time, but the second start is fine there were no any warning lights. please help me to find out the problem of this even i am getting an OBD error code P1055.

My BMW 316i SE 2001 had an intermitant starting problem. Sometimes it would start ok, other times it would try to turn over but not start, then show up SRS orange light error and turn the hand brake warning light orange.
A new forward/intake Cam Sensor was required.
A garage wanted to charge me £150. I researched it and found it was a 3 minute job, so did it myself.

I’ve had a lot of questions from people about where to install the bypass i made in my other video(found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2UqGJ_LK3Y) so i’ve made this video to show you how i fitted it to an E46. Its pretty much the same for most other BMW’s and its very easy.
Simply tap the sensor you made, into the white and blue cables and tape them up. Don’t reconnect the old Blue and white wire plug as that will cause the airbag light to come back on again. tuck everything away nicely and if needed, use a couple of cable ties to make sure the wiring doesn’t get knocked by a rear seat passengers feet.
I had to use my INPA diagnostics machine to reset the airbag light as it was a permanent one. If your airbag light is an intermittent one then you will usually get away without needing to have the code cleared with diagnostics.
A little background on what this sensor is and what it does,
The occupancy sensor is a mat thats built into the seat and it tells the computer if there is a person sitting there. If there are no passengers and the car is crashed then it wont deploy the passenger airbags, only the driver ones.
This sensor is well known for going bad and this is why it triggers the airbag light. Unfortunately it costs upwards of 4-500 quid in parts and labour to have the seat mat replaced but with this mod, the bypassyou made (as per my previous video), or even bought of ebay etc will tell the computer that there is a passenger in the seat at all times and will always fire both passenger and driver airbags in the even of an accident instead of firing just the driver one.
Making up this bypass is very easy and can be done very cheaply too.
