This is the creme de la creme of the hazard buttons, you will note the subtle yet minimally obtrusive click-click through the speaker system, that does indeed switch off after around two minutes to leave you in blissful silence whilst the actual hazard light switch and the indicators themselves continue to operate in full capacity whilst emitting no ‘click-click’ – it’s masterful. You will note I also helpfully switched views to show you what waa happening regarding visual representation on the instrument panel itself whilst this triumph of German engineering was strutting its stuff. The ‘click-click’ doen’t miss a beat no matter how many times you switch it on and off and I suspect it will outlive a lot of lesser ‘quality’ vehicle manufacturers hazard light systems – although it’s a beemer, it’s truely a triumph, a triumph of german engineering.

Occupancy Seat Fix fitted, BMW

I’ve had a lot of questions from people about where to install the bypass i made in my other video(found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2UqGJ_LK3Y) so i’ve made this video to show you how i fitted it to an E46. Its pretty much the same for most other BMW’s and its very easy.
Simply tap the sensor you made, into the white and blue cables and tape them up. Don’t reconnect the old Blue and white wire plug as that will cause the airbag light to come back on again. tuck everything away nicely and if needed, use a couple of cable ties to make sure the wiring doesn’t get knocked by a rear seat passengers feet.
I had to use my INPA diagnostics machine to reset the airbag light as it was a permanent one. If your airbag light is an intermittent one then you will usually get away without needing to have the code cleared with diagnostics.
A little background on what this sensor is and what it does,
The occupancy sensor is a mat thats built into the seat and it tells the computer if there is a person sitting there. If there are no passengers and the car is crashed then it wont deploy the passenger airbags, only the driver ones.
This sensor is well known for going bad and this is why it triggers the airbag light. Unfortunately it costs upwards of 4-500 quid in parts and labour to have the seat mat replaced but with this mod, the bypassyou made (as per my previous video), or even bought of ebay etc will tell the computer that there is a passenger in the seat at all times and will always fire both passenger and driver airbags in the even of an accident instead of firing just the driver one.
Making up this bypass is very easy and can be done very cheaply too.

Install TYPE-R Seats – Airbag Fix & Reset

This video will show you how to bypass the error on your instrument dials when you remove the standard, airbag equiped seats in your 7th generation civic or other era honda. The Type-R seats, or any others you want to install dont have airbags built in so installing them will throw an airbag warning light up on the dials.
Installing these resistors as shown will fool the ECU into believing the airbags are still there as the resistors return the same resistance to the ECU as the standard seats once did.
This mod will work on all civics from 2001 to 2005 and may work on some of those after this date. The included models are as follows, EM, ES, EP and EU Civics.

My new 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis

I got this car at the auction this weekend for $260. It starts up but is a little rough…It still has its original throttle valve bushing and the TV cable is still connected…I’ve ordered the new brass bushing kit to replace it. Also there is an air bag warning code being flashed.

Ford Airbag Diagnostic Monitor repair

WARNING: working on airbag systems is inherently dangerous. should you choose to do anything depicted in the video i cannot be held responsible for anything that may happen.
My bronco was flashing a code 51. this stands for “internal adm fuse blown due to intermittant short to ground”. the general repair for this is to fix the short and replace the aibag diagnostic monitor. i called the junkyard and they wanted $55! so i decided that instead of replacing the whole thing i would only replace the component that was broken. the thermal fuse in the ADM is 168 deg C, this is a hard to find temp rating so i bought some rated 1 degree lower at 167 deg C. i bought mine from newark.com. the ones i bought ended up being slightly larger that the original so i had to modify the fuse’s casing to fit it. in retrospect if you were to do something like this it would be easier to remove the fuse assemby from a ADM in a vehicle with a deployed airbag, just make shure the fuse itself has continuity. if you show the fuse to the people at the junkyard the fuse and they ask what its from make something up or tell them its from a blown airbag module. this method would require less modifying and would look much more professional. applies to 1994-1996 broncos and f150s.

Just a wax job done on my car. Paste wax is better as you can see but its more work as well. Spray on wax is good and kills time but its not as good as paste. Paste does a better job protecting it against water or rain.
